AWM Love brings bespoke, cross-border matchmaking to Singapore’s professionals and UHNW singles — across the CBD, Orchard, Bukit Timah, Sentosa Cove and the East Coast. Not an agency and not a database subscription: a single matchmaker, a limited client list, and introductions that reach across Singapore, Hong Kong, and the United States. My clients come from every background, and cross-cultural matches are a core part of what I do here.
Why Singapore Is Part Of My Practice
Singapore has been part of my world for as long as Hong Kong has. During my seven years in Hong Kong as a Goldman Sachs banker, Singapore was the other pole of the region — colleagues moved between the two constantly, and many of the people I knew then have since settled here. That movement never stopped, and a meaningful share of my Hong Kong clients live between the two cities today.
I am co-President of the Wellesley Asian Alumnae Alliance and we are the largest alumnae organization of Wellesley College. As such, we have members all over the world. I have spent extensive time in Singapore and visit there regularly to chat and meet with clients. One of my more recent clients was a Chinese private equity executive.

My Singapore clients are bankers and fund managers, family office principals, founders, lawyers, physicians and senior executives — Singaporean, regional, and expatriate. Many move between Singapore, Hong Kong, London and the United States. A number are returnees who studied abroad and came home to a social world that had moved on without them. They value discretion enormously, and most have already tried the local agencies.
Not all of my clients are Asian, and in Singapore that hardly needs saying. Many are expatriates and internationally mobile professionals who want a partner comfortable in more than one world. Finding someone who genuinely moves between cultures is often the entire brief, and it’s what my network is built for.
Why Dating Here Is Harder Than It Should Be
The agency model doesn’t fit this client. Singapore has a well-developed dating agency market built around volume, packages and shared databases. It works for some people. For senior professionals who need genuine discretion and a match drawn from a comparable world, it usually doesn’t.
The professional world here is small and closely connected. Word travels. Being seen to be looking carries a social cost that people in larger cities don’t have to weigh, which pushes a lot of accomplished singles into doing nothing at all.
Ambition is regional, not local. Your career may take you to Hong Kong, London or New York. A local-only search doesn’t account for that, and neither do most local agencies.
Family expectations arrive early and stay. Across Singaporean Chinese, Indian and Malay families alike, there is often real and sustained interest in when this is going to happen. That pressure deserves to be handled thoughtfully rather than ignored.

It's also what makes me good at the specific thing I do, which is connecting exceptional people. But being effective isn't enough on its own. There has to be fit, and there has to be care.
