Ancient Wisdom Modern Love (AWML) is not your grandmother’s matchmaker. We aren’t here to “arrange” a marriage or match two families or find you a merely “suitable” prospect. Our goal is your goal – to find you a deep connection leading to a vibrant relationship where both people thrive — to find “the One” for you.
Born in New York, I’m a former Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan Securities investment banker who has been connecting great people since my college days. My own finance career started in Manhattan and I worked long hours, so I understand where many of my clients are coming from — that drive, that focus, the ambition. Our focus areas are UHNW and educated, ambitious professionals.

Why dating in New York is harder than it should be
The hours own you. Finance, law, medicine, tech — the calendar is not yours. You are not going to meet your person at 9pm on a Thursday when you’re still at the desk, and the weekend gets spent recovering. That’s not a discipline problem. It’s a structural one.
The city gives you volume, not depth. There are millions of single people within a few subway stops. That should make this easy — it doesn’t. Endless options make everyone feel replaceable, and it is very easy to spend three years dating constantly and building nothing.
Your borough is a bubble. People say “New York” and mean a twenty-block radius plus the two neighborhoods their friends live in. Someone on the Upper East Side and someone in Fort Greene are thirty minutes and two different lives apart.

It's also what makes me good at the specific thing I do, which is connecting exceptional people. But being effective isn't enough on its own. There has to be fit, and there has to be care.
